In the heart of Amish Country, the Ephrata Cloister offers a central location for weddings, vow renewal ceremonies, community events and family gatherings, to cities such as Harrisburg, Lancaster and Reading, and a refreshing, tranquil atmosphere where visitors are immersed in history and the beauty of the grounds.   Weddings can be held outdoors in the Amphitheater or in the historic 1741 Meeting House.

At present, the Ephrata Cloister does not have the ability to hold wedding receptions.

Meeting House

The 1741 meeting house affords a glimpse into the simplistic lifestyle of the Cloister’s population, and offers a cozy, quiet location for your wedding ceremony with wooden pews for up to 80 guests.  With the addition of folding chairs, at no extra cost, 125 guests can now participate in your ceremony.

Weddings can be held year 'round in the Meeting House after 6:00 p.m.

Battery-powered candles in lanterns to hang in the windows can be provided for the wedding ceremony for an additional fee.
