Ephrata Days

The Ephrata Cloister Museum Store is celebrating “Ephrata Days” Friday April 26th to Sunday April 28th. There will be discounts on store purchases, free refreshments, and a “sidewalk-sale” of select items. The Museum Store at Ephrata Cloister is filled with a wide variety of locally handcrafted items inspired by the fine craftsmanship and beautiful details of the historic site. The Museum Store and Visitor Center are located at 632 West Main Street, Ephrata PA 17522.
 
On Friday from 12 noon until 3:00 pm, Douglas Gehr will be signing books. A native of Ephrata and a retired pastor, Gehr has written several books on local history. Doug serves on the Board of Directors for the Ephrata Cloister Associates and for the Historical Society of the Cocalico Valley. He also volunteers at the Ephrata Cloister as a tour guide.
 
On Saturday, April 27th starting at 12 noon, Radio Personality Casey Allyn, Morning Show Co-Host of the Rich and Casey Show on I-105, WIOV, will be at the Ephrata Cloister Museum Store! Casey is an Actress, a Cookbook Author, and is passionate about animal welfare – encouraging pet adoption. She will have adoptable dogs with her that afternoon from Charlie’s Crusaders!
 
On Sunday, April 28th, from 12 noon until 3:00 pm, local celebrity and New York Times bestselling author Larry Alexander, will be at the Museum Store signing his latest book “Shattered Jade: A Novel of Saipan”. He is a former member of the Board of Directors of the Ephrata Cloister Associates.
 
The Ephrata Cloister Museum Store will have extended hours for this weekend; Friday and Saturday from 9:00 am until 5:00 pm, and Sunday from 12:00 pm until 4:30 pm. Phone number is 717 733-2592.
 
The historic site will be open from 9 am to 4 pm on April 26th and 27th, and on April 28th from 12 – 4 pm. Self-Guided and Guided tours will be available throughout all three days. For more information on tour times and admission please call the Visitor Center at 717-733-6600.
