Celebrate Pennsylvania’s 344th Birthday on Charter Day at the Historic Ephrata Cloister!

Join us on Sunday, March 9, from 12 PM to 4 PM at the Historic Ephrata Cloister, located at 632 W. Main Street, Ephrata, PA 17522, for a fun and educational celebration of Pennsylvania’s Charter Day! Admission is FREE for this special event.

Enjoy performances by the Ephrata Cloister Chorus in the Saal, with three 20-minute sessions at 1:30 PM, 2:30 PM, and 3:30 PM. Please note that seating is limited to 120 people per performance, and operates on a first come, first served basis. If a performance reaches capacity, feel free to explore the historic site while waiting for the next one.

Other highlights of the day include:

  • The Museum Store, offering special Charter Day coupons.
  • Delicious food and snacks sold by the Ephrata Cloister Associates! More to be announced soon!
  • Live demonstrations and activities with the Lancaster Spinners and Weavers Guild and other interpreters throughout the site!

This event is perfect for all ages, combining history, music, and hands-on learning opportunities. Be sure to check out other Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission (PHMC) sites on Sunday, March 9, which will also be open with free admission for Charter Day.
