The Ephrata Cloister Chorus, directed by Mark Herr, revitalizes the unique, original music of Ephrata Cloister as an educational program of the Ephrata Cloister Associates.
Clad in white robes reminiscent of the mid-eighteenth-century Brothers and Sisters of Ephrata their performances blend historical authenticity with modern flair throughout the Pennsylvania region.
Their repertoire includes music from various early American communities, including the Shakers, Moravians, Harmonists, the Kelpius Community, the First New England School, and African American spirituals.
