    The Ephrata Cloister Chorus

The Ephrata Cloister Chorus, directed by Mark Herr, revitalizes the unique, original music of Ephrata Cloister as an educational program of the Ephrata Cloister Associates.

Clad in white robes reminiscent of the mid-eighteenth-century Brothers and Sisters of Ephrata, their performances, spanning the Pennsylvania region, blend historical authenticity with modern flair.

Their repertoire includes music from various early American communities, including the Shakers, Moravians, Harmonists, the Kelpius Community, the First New England School, and African American spirituals.

To host a performance by the Ephrata Cloister Chorus, reach out to our Concert Coordinator, Sheree Wolf, at shereewytewolf@yahoo.com. Recordings of the Ephrata Cloister Chorus are available at The Museum Store. Click here for samples of music.
