Ephrata Cloister Associates, founded in 1958, grew from the interest of local citizens and business leaders anxious to welcome guests to the town and share its heritage. Today, the non-profit 501(c)(3) organization supports the administration of the Historic Ephrata Cloister by the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission.
Over 15,000 visitors from around the world annually enjoy exploring this National Historic Landmark. The Ephrata Cloister Associates helps to enhance visits to the historic site by providing Special Events, the Ephrata Cloister Chorus, Educational Programs, and The Museum Store. The Back to the Cloister Fund, managed by the Ephrata Cloister Associates, helps to return original items to the museum.
Nearly 300 members join in the work to save and share this national treasure.
New board members are nominated by the Board Development Committee and elected by members at the Annual Meeting in November, with terms running for the following calendar year.
