Architecture Day

Historic Ephrata Cloister contains some of the most significant architecture surviving from colonial America. Special tours, demonstrations, and exhibits will be available throughout the day.

The day will include demonstrations of colonial building trades, special architectural features tours at 11:00 and 1:30, and a one-day exhibit on Ephrata’s restoration. Upstairs tours of the unrestored areas are on a limited basis. See details below.

Special Upstairs Tours of the unrestored areas are available on a limited basis. General Admission is required to join an Upstairs Tours. Upstairs Tours require the advance purchase of a timed ticket and are limited to individuals 12+ years of age. Upstairs Tours require that you be able to climb and descend steep winding stairways without any type of assistance, as well as the completion of a liability waiver which will be provided when you check in at the Visitor Center. Tours begin promptly and we cannot guarantee availability at other times. No member discounts available for Upstairs Tours. Pre-purchased tickets are non-refundable.
